Langille’s Tae Kwon Do was established in 1999 when Mr. Wayne Langille took over the school from his instructor, Mr. Jared Christensen. Mr. Christensen had trained in Tae Kwon Do in Woodstock, New Brunswick and started the school in Truro, Nova Scotia. He turned the school over to Mr. Langille when he moved away from Truro. Langille’s Tae Kwon Do has Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do as the core curriculum. We uphold the highest standards of excellence in martial art training.
Langille’s Tae Kwon Do is affiliated with the Martial Virtue Alliance (MVA) organization. The Martial Virtue Alliance was formally established in 2011. The schools involved were loosely associated with each other for over 20 years and followed the teaching of Grandmaster Michael Clark. Mr. Langille sits of the board of directors for the organization. The purpose of the Martial Virtue Alliance is to provide structure and legitimacy to promotions within the organization. It also provides an avenue for students (including black belts with no instructors) to continue in their martial arts journey of learning and rank advancement.
Langille’s Tae Kwon Do is going into its 20th year of operation. We have had hundreds of students train with us over the years who have gained something from their time with us. Those who train at our school enjoy the benefits of improved health and a sense of confidence in the accomplishments that they achieve. It is fun for kids in a disciplined setting. It is also great for adults and it's never too late to start. Everyone works within their own abilities. It is a excellent form of exercise while learning self-discipline and studying the art of self-defense.
